“Dog Fighting Niggers” my response to extremists II

Example number one

On July 19, 2007 former unanimously elected Exalted Cyclops and Kleagle of the infamous KKK had a serious word for Mr. Vick. In the midst of a twenty-five minute dissertation Senator Robert Byrd referred to dog fighting as a

"…brutal, sadistic event motivated by barbarism of the worst sort and cruelty of the worst, worst, worst sadistic kind. One is left wondering: Who are real the animals: the creatures inside the ring, or the creatures outside the ring?"

He goes on to state that there is a special place in hell reserved for such—barbarians. Now, I know you are expecting me to lambaste this Amerikkkan. However, that is not the purpose of this post. Oh I know how heinously hypocritical and superciliously senseless it is for a former Klans leader to march before congress to castigate an alleged dogfighter to the "hottest" parts of hell. In this post, however, we will allow the Aristotelian Rhetoric to develop.

Comparative exhibit number one

Mississippi Jr. Senator and Council of Conservative Citizens advocate—a hate group—Trent Lott defended miscreant, monomaniac, former Governor Strom Thurmond. He effectually admitted to agreeing with him. You remember the quote:

"When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over the years, either."

In case of the slim chance that you have forgotten who Strom Thurmond was, here is a quote to give you a quick idea.

"I wanna tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that there's not enough troops in the army to force the southern people to break down segregation and admit the nigger race into our theatres into our swimming pools into our homes and into our churches."

Care to watch it?

Again, current Senator Trent Lott defended voting for this guy.

Byrd called dog fighting a "brutal, sadistic event motivated by barbarism of the worst sort and cruelty of the worst, worst, worst sadistic kind."

Tying it all together

I do not have much concern for Trent, Strom, Don Imus, or the like. However, those who walk around as though they are not racist yet support those who clearly are, concern me greatly. Do not brush off the fact that a former KKK member like Trent Lott has supporters or that a racist Governer like Strom Thurmond occupied the United States Senate until he was a century old.

Time heals all things huh?

If you believe that we should forgive and support segregationist, racist characters like Senator Sheets please answer the following question. Would you elect a former member of Al Queda as Senate Majority Leader?

If it truly were a war on terror they'd arrest the KKK.
